Instagram just celebrated its seventh birthday, with over 800 million accounts. It’s having a major effect on the way organizations work, especially small businesses. In light of that, here are some trends organizations can experiment with, in 2018.
1. Social media is the go-to for e-commerce
Instagram says more organizations will use social media to drive more sales. This is one reason why they have been testing “Shopping for Instagram” with Shopify in the US.
In 2018 Business accounts will be able to use this feature to tag up to five products in posts with links to their product. Shoppers can then buy the product without leaving Instagram.
